Meet Ireland’s Oldest Person – Right Here in Delwood! 🌹
We are incredibly proud to share that our very own neighbour, Sarah, holds the remarkable title of Ireland’s oldest living person at the incredible age of 108!
Born on 24th July 1916, Sarah has witnessed some of the most defining moments in Irish history — from the War of Independence (1919–1921) to the Civil War (1922–1923) — not through textbooks, but from memory. Her stories are a living bridge to our past.
In recognition of her extraordinary life and her cherished presence in the Delwood community, members of our Committee recently had the pleasure of presenting Sarah with a fragrant rose (her favouite flower) and a bouquet of stock flowers on behalf of all of you.
Let’s all take a moment to celebrate this incredible milestone and the inspiring woman who calls Delwood home. 🎉💐
